August 15, 2018 Board of Directors Meeting Rescheduled

In order to accommodate schedules and ensure that a quorum of Board members is present the August 15 meeting has been rescheduled to September 19, 2018.  Meetings begin at 6:00 PM and are held at Palm Valley Community Center, 14145 Palm Valley Blvd.

August 28, 2018 Primary Election

Ballots for the August 28, 2018 Primary Election will be mailed out beginning August 1, 2018.  Keep an eye out for your ballot in the mail.  You can mail your completed ballot back in the postage paid envelope provided or drop it off in person at any Ballot Center.

The green return envelope must be signed, dated, and sealed before you cast your vote.

If your ballot is lost or you make a mistake while filling it out, please call the Maricopa County Recorder’s Office at 602-506-1511. If you do not have enough time to wait for a new ballot in the mail, visit any Ballot Center location across the County to vote in-person. Ballot Centers are open 27 days leading up to an Election and on Election Day.

Select Ballot Centers will open August 1st, with additional locations opening throughout the month of August.

MCSO Active Shooter Training

On Thursday, 7/5/2018, and Friday, 7/6/2018, Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office, in coordination with Litchfield Elementary School, will conduct Active Shooter Training at Litchfield Elementary School.  The training on both days will begin at 7 a.m. and is expected to be completed by noon.  Residents may see multiple public safety vehicles and/or officers in full gear during the training exercise.


Due to the Memorial Day Holiday, there will be no trash service on Monday, May 28, 2018.  Service during the week will be pushed back one day, i.e. Monday service on Tuesday.


Many thanks to all who voted!  We had a record turn out with 119 owners casting ballots!!!!!  The new Board of Directors consists of Kyle Addington, Julie Cadogan, Mark Moyer, Reuben Washington and Lisa Wolfe. The new Design Review Committee (DRC) consists of Mark Moyer, Jean Kilker and Dan Marich.  Thank yous and best wishes to past Director Cynthia Tyler and past DRC member Jack Cadogan for their years of service.  You will be missed!

Litchfield Park Elections 2018 All-Mail Ballot

Primary Election        Tuesday, August 28, 2018
General Election        Tuesday, November 6, 2018

Litchfield Park elections are no longer held in the spring.  The State Legislature mandated that elections are to be held in the fall.

Seats for election in 2018 (each is a four-year term):

1 – Mayor
3 – Council seats

Candidate packets are available at City Hall from the City Clerk.  If you wish to become a candidate, it is best to call the City Clerk’s Office at 623-935-5033 and schedule an appointment.  Please allow sufficient time (approximately 1 hour) to review the documents. Deadline to file the required paperwork is Wednesday, May 30, 2018.

If you are not currently a registered voter, or you wish to change your current registration, the last date to register for the Primary Election is Monday, July 30, 2018.

If you are registered to vote in a party other than Democratic or Republican, you will have an opportunity to decide which party’s ballot you want to cast in the Primary Election for county, state and federal offices.  Maricopa County Elections Department will send a notice before the election and you can choose the party’s ballot you want.  Otherwise, you will receive a ballot only for the Litchfield Park Primary Election.

Special HOA Meeting January 24, 2018 – Townhome Roof Repair Proposals

An additional Board of Directors meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, January 24, 2018, 6:00 PM to review roofing repair proposals for the 12 Townhomes.    The meeting is being held at the Palm Valley Community Center, 14145 Palm Valley Blvd.

Be a Part of Christmas in the Park

Litchfield Park’s annual Christmas in the Park celebration will be held on Saturday, December 10, 2016 from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. The free holiday celebration is being presented by Hilgers Orthodontics and Hilgers Pediatric Dentistry. Activities include a hometown parade, live entertainment, pictures with Santa, Elf’s Alley, 12 tons of real snow, craft & food booths, and much more! There are many ways for community members and organizations to get involved in Christmas in the Park:

  • Participate in the parade. Your group can walk and/or drive a decorated float.
  • Perform on stage. Local acts entertain festival goers throughout the day.
  • Sell your arts & crafts. Our attendees look forward to shopping for unique holiday gifts.
  • Set up a food booth. All of the activities offered are sure to work up some appetites!
  • Provide an activity for kids and families, such as train rides, pony rides, and inflatables.

All applications are available online or in the lobby of the Litchfield Park Recreation Center (100 S. Old Litchfield Road). If you are interested, please submit the appropriate application on or before October 31, 2016.
