Special Pricing for Fruit Removal

The City of Litchfield Park and West Coast Arborists are combining efforts for interested residents to obtain an optional competitive rate to have fruit removed from their trees. The use of this service and contractor is optional for the residents and not required. If you would like to participate, the scheduled fruit removal will be in January, 2019. The special pricing is for the residents of the City of Litchfield Park only.

If you have fruit tree(s) that require removal of fruit and would like obtain a free estimate to participate, please send the following information via email to works@litchfield-park.org. This information will be forwarded to West Coast Arborists who will be responding to each emailed request.

CITY COUNCIL VOTING TONIGHT ON APPROVAL/DENIAL OF APARTMENTS AT VILLAGE PARKWAY/LITCHFIELD ROAD

The City Council will be meeting Wednesday, December 19th at 6:00 PM at Litchfield Elementary School Cafeteria. Approval/Denial of the proposed apartments at Village Parkway and Litchfield Road will be on the agenda.

WASTE MANAGEMENT HOLIDAY SCHEDULE

Due to the Christmas Holiday, there will be no trash service on Tuesday, December 25, 2018. Service during the week will be pushed back one day, i.e. Tuesday service on Wednesday.

Water Service Line Protection

The City of Litchfield Park has partnered with Service Line Warranties of America (SLWA) to offer protection for homeowners for their Water Service Line. The coverage is voluntary and available at affordable monthly or annual prices. Founded in 2003, SLWA has partnered with over 400 leading cities and municipalities in the U.S. to provide repair service plans that offer peace of mind and convenience.
This program is completely optional and voluntary. If you have received a letter of introduction from the City, take some time to read the information concerning the program and decide for yourself if you believe this program will be of benefit to you. As the letter explains, you can discontinue the program at any time.

DATE CHANGE – HOA BOARD MEETING

The November 14, 2018 Board of Directors meeting has been rescheduled for November 28.  The meeting will be held at 6:30 PM at the Palm Valley Community Center, 14145 Palm Valley Blvd.

MEETING TIME CHANGE FOR PUBLIC HEARING – APARTMENTS NWC WIGWAM ROAD /LITCHFIELD ROAD

We have just been notified that the meeting time for the Public Hearing regarding building apartments at the NWC of Litchfield Road and Wigwam Road will be held at 7:00 PM, not 6:00 PM.  The meeting is being held at the Church at Litchfield Park, 300 N Old Litchfield Rd

Public Hearing Apartments NWC Wigwam/Litchfield Road & Palo Verde Annual Siren Testing

The Planning and Zoning Commission will hold a Public Hearing to receive a report from City Staff and take public comment on the JDM proposal to rezone reducing commercial requirements in order to build apartments on the northwest corner of Wigwam and Litchfield Road at 6 pm on Tuesday November 13 at the Church at Litchfield Park.

The Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Station, will be testing the warning alert siren system on Wednesday, November 14, 2018.  The Palo Verde Emergency Preparedness Department along with state and county emergency management officials will activate the sirens twice.  The first test will be at approximately 12:00 p.m. and the second test will be at approximately 12:30 p.m.  This is only a test.

DOOR TO DOOR SCAM – HOLIDAY TRASH SCHEDULE

Please be advised that a solicitor has been reported going door-to-door within the City collecting donations for the YMCA. The YMCA does not solicit donations door-to-door. If someone comes to your door soliciting donations, call MCSO, 602-876-1011, and follow the link below to file a complaint.

Liberty Utilities Workshop and Tour

Liberty Utilities has asked that I share with you an invitation to attend a “Fat’s, Oils, and Grease” workshop on Wednesday, November 7 from 4-7 PM.  Following the workshop, they  are also providing a free tour  of the Water Reclamation Facility from 5-7 PM to show what happens to your water after it leaves the house and what it takes to provide reliable wastewater services. REZONING MEETING – NWC WIGWAM BLVD & LITCHFIELD ROAD

A Citizen Review Meeting will be held on Monday, November 5, 2018, at 6:00 p.m., in Sachem Hall, Wigwam Resort, 300 Wigwam Boulevard, Litchfield Park, Arizona.  The purpose of the meeting is provide information about the landowners request to amend the City of Litchfield Park’s General Plan (GPA-18-02) and to rezone approximately 15 acres of property located at the northwest corner of Wigwam Boulevard and Litchfield Road.

As a reminder Destination LP will be hosting a Community Input Meeting regarding the Litchfield Park City Center on Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. in the Litchfield Elementary School Cafeteria.

Destination LP will present updated design concepts and community members will have the opportunity to share their opinions.
